Herbal shampoos are a must in our hair care routine because herbal shampoos have lesser chemicals and make hair healthier. I have Ayush Shikakai Shampoo for review today. Let us see how this one performs.
Ayush Shikakai Shampoo comes on a white plastic bottle with flip opening. The off white sticker on the packaging bears the details of the product. The shampoo is neither too thick nor too runny, just the right consistency. The shampoo is light brown in colour. It has herbal scent with peppermint undertones.
Massage on to wet hair, lather and rinse. Repeat of required. For best results follow with Lever Ayush Conditioner.
It claims to contain Bhringamalakadi Tailam and Shikakai for visibly thicker and longer hair.
You pay 135 INR for 175ml of the product.
My Thoughts On Ayush Shikakai Shampoo:
This shampoo lathers well and makes effectively cleans the hair. The shampoo has lesser chemicals when compared to the other shampoos. It has ingredients like Shikakai, Bhringamalakadi Tailam, Neem, Tulsi, Rosemary, etc which are highly beneficial for hair health. It cleans the scalp effectively hence arrest hair fall to a certain extent. It doesn’t dry out the hair with regular use though it is a good idea to follow with a conditioner.
Pros Of Ayush Shikakai Shampoo:
- Easily available
- Contains hair beneficial ingredients
- Lathers well
- Cleans hair effectively
- Reduces hairfall
Cons Of Ayush Shikakai Shampoo:
- Contains preservatives
- Complete list of ingredients not given
It is a decent shampoo to go for. It is affordable. Considering the amount of chemicals in shampoos nowadays, it is a good idea to switch to herbal shampoos, especially ones without SLS and parabens. Since this shampoo has not given its complete ingredients list, I cannot comment on the SLS content.
