But there are a few Bridal Makeup Mistakes which every trained professionals fail to notice. These makeup mistakes have become very common and hence should be paid attention to.

#1: Too Much Powder. The idea is to stop oiliness on the face of the bride and hence too much powder is used. This ends up looking cakey and the makeup looks unnatural. Too much powder should not be used, a slight sheen on the Face adds to the natural dewy glow on the face. Hence the stress should not be on too much matte effect but on dewy glow.
#2: Too Much Blush. This goes without saying that, bridal makeup is mostly over-the-top. Hence the use of too much blush has become very common. This ends up looking very clownish. The idea should be to give a light flush of colour to the cheeks and not make you look like a clown.

#3: Dramatic Eye Makeup. Another case of over-the-top makeup, brides are made to look like some vamps out of our daily soaps! This should be avoided. A good eye makeup need not be too dramatic. A subtle eye makeup makes the bride look natural and fresh.
#4: Wrong Foundation Shade. This is the most common Bridal Makeup Mistakes because in India the stress is on looking fairer than you actually are. For this reason a lighter foundation shade is applied which ends up looking ghostly and ashy. This should be avoided at all costs.

#5: Glossy Lips. Brides should not go for glossy lipstick as it tends to get smudged within few hours and any stray hair tends to stick to your lip, giving an unclean look. Opt for long lasting matte lipstick instead.
