Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel Review

Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel was a welcome product to my dehydrated skin. Since I was suffering from acne, I was using a lot of products which led to skin  drying. That’s when this gel caught my attention, given the fact that it comes from the house of Forest Essentials, I knew this will not irritate my skin and hydrate it. So let’s get to know more about it.

What’s It Like?

This is a pale pink colour gel in a luxurious trademark Forest Essentials packaging. The jar is quite study and easy to carry. The jar is further packed in a cardboard box. The gel has generous rose scent to it.

What’s The Claim?

Like the name suggests, it is a hydrating gel with pure rose water. It has cucumber and aloe vera gel to soothe, moisturize and refresh the skin. Plum fruit extract gives extra nourishment, which gives extra radiant and pampered skin.

What’s The Price?

One jar of 50gm costs 1525 INR.

My Thoughts On Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel:

This turned out to be a disappointment ?. You know it doesn’t do that one thing that it claims, doesn’t hydrate the skin at all. In fact after applying it, my skin felt stretched and drier than before. I had thought it will be that melt-in-the-skin kind of gel but it sits on the skin making it dry and taut. Loved the burst of rose scent whenever I opened the jar but that’s how far my liking for this goes.

The Yays ?

  • Burst of rose scent everytime I used it
  • Luxurious packaging
  • Didn’t irritate my skin

The Nays ?

  • Doesn’t hydrate at all
  • Makes skin dry and taut
  • Very expensive

Recommendation:

Nope, your regular aloe vera gel will be better if you are thinking about hydration. This one is too expensive and does nothing.
