That’s the icon of the app. If you are an iPhone user, you can use an app called “Kuler”. So what do these apps do? These apps detect your skin colour and its undertone. It works just like a camera. Make sure that you do that in natural light. Hold your phone aiming at your face or your hands. You will find that you will get two colors. One is your skin color and the other is your undertone. For Indian skin tone, generally take for example I got light brown as skin color, red as undertone. After knowing my skin color and undertone I need a color wheel.

Now following the color wheel, you know that for me, red is the undertone, I should not wear any clothes of red colour. Plus, the colour that is exactly opposite to red is green, I should not wear that colour too. Green will clash with my skin tone and make it look ashy. Colors that will compliment me are colors that are near red that are pink, purple, etc.

Do now do you get it? Here are the steps in short.

#1: Use the app in natural day light and know the skin color and the undertone
#2: Once you know that use the color wheel
#3: The color which is in your undertone, you must skip that color
#4: You must never wear the colours that are directly opposite to undertone color in the color wheel.
#5: Colours near your undertone color are the colors which suit you the best.

Tada! It’s as simple as this.
