Ponds has been a staple in Indian skin care regime since a long time. The first cult product from Ponds was Ponds cold cream. Then it launched its range of fairness and anti aging products. Recently it launched Ponds Flawless Radiance Derma Moisturising Day Cream with SPF 30 PA+++. Let us see how it fared.
There was a time when skin care companies followed ” one-shoe-fits-all” rule. Nowadays, you can find a wide array of skin care products which closely match your skin type and cater to your skin concerns. Following this trend, Ponds launched this Derma+ range which has two types of day cream. One is mattifying day cream and the other is moisturising day cream. Both are packaged in the same way. The cream is packed in a heavy glass jar with pink screw cap. The jar is packed in a cardboard box with all the details of the product. The cream is pale pink in colour and has a faint subtle smell.
Apply on cleansed face, massage lightly, until completely absorbed.
This one comes with DermaPerfect which targets spots, pores and dullness. It also comes with broadband sun protection.
Product Price: 50gm retails for 649 INR. Other sizes are not available.
My Thoughts On Ponds Flawless Radiance Derma Moisturising Day Cream:
This day cream is for you if you are facing mild dryness or if you have normal skin. Though Moisturising, it doesn’t make skin oily or greasy, even in summer season. It gives a dewy, healthy shine to the skin. For very oily skin, you can try the mattifying variant. It clears the skin and dark spots up to a certain extent.
Pros Of Ponds Flawless Radiance Derma Moisturising Day Cream:
- Gives healthy glow
- Contains broadband sun protection
- Doesn’t break out sensitive skin
- Lightens spots
- Easily available
- Comes in two variants for oily as well as dry skin
Cons Of Ponds Flawless Radiance Derma Moisturising Day Cream:
- Heavy glass jar
- Not travel friendly
- Contains harmful chemicals like parabens and dimethicone
Diaries9 Rating: 2.5/5
I do like the cream, considering the fact that it comes with broadband sun protection but the harmful chemicals make me think twice about recommending it.
