Sugar Dream Cover Mattifying Compact SPF 15 Review

Sugar Dream Cover Mattifying Compact SPF 15 landed in my vanity box. I received it in a subscription bag. I was more than glad to try it out. As I told before, I do have a weakness for Sugar products because they are of amazing quality and they come in beautiful packaging. As it’s summer time, a compact is a must. Are you eyeing this one for summer season? Read on before you buy.

What’s it Like?
Packaging of Sugar Dream Cover Mattifying Compact SPF 15 wins hands down. It comes in a black casing with two compartments. The top one houses the compact powder. The down one has the sponge applicator. There is a mirror too. It’s of no use, some sticker sort of, which is not clear at all.

What’s The Claim?
It claims to be mattifying compact powder which is cruelty free, paraben free and has SPF 15. It comes in 5 shades.

What’s The Cost?
6 gm of the pack retails for 499 INR.

What I Think About It?
I am in the shade 55 Americano. I quite like the shade as it suits my medium skin tone. It is mattifying enough to keep oily shine under control for around 4 hours after which you will need touch up. It is finely milled and glides smoothly to give an airbrushed look. The sponge applicator doesn’t work quite well. You might want to apply it with your powder brush, which will give better finish. The mirror provided is some kind of sticker, which doesn’t serve its purpose.

Recommendation:
Yes, it a good compact. Apt for oily skin and in summer. If you get a shade matching you, go for it.
