Aishwarya Rai arrived today at Cannes. She is a regular at Cannes and her looks are highly speculated each year. With the passage of each year, her appearances have become bom dot com! Last year she took the film festival by storm by making appearance in a an elaborate ball gown. This year, on day one she has played safe with her two looks. Look One. Aishwarya Rai started off with a blue embellished gown by Manish Arora. She made an appearance in a safe way. She went for a sequinned and crystal studded gown. She kept the rest of her look, including her makeup, quite simple. She let her hair loose in soft curls. Her makeup was nude and dewy, this was to play safe with the highly embellished gown. Overall a decent choice to go for as her first dress at Cannes this year.
Look Two. In the evening, she dressed up in a purple toned gown by Michael Chinco. The gown had a long trail with it. It enfolded like peacock feather. The gown reminded of a peacock because it had all the peacock colours to it. She played it safe with makeup by going for minimal, thereby letting the gown make the statement.
She went for simple purple toned makeup with burgundy lipstick. She opted for dewy, glossy skin. She also didn’t stress too much on accessories, only opting for a pair of purple toned dangling earrings.
She went for sleek straight hair. Overall this look was grand and chic but not flamboyant like her previous year’s appearances.
