A fascinating career in jewellery design
From the era of local Goldsmiths to big brand shops showcasing gold, silver and other ornaments, Jewellery Designing has come a long way. It is both art and craft. You might be bowled over by the different kinds of jewellery designs when you see it in a shop. However a lot of thought and hard work goes into every piece of jewellery created.
If you have a good creative imagination and a fair sense of design, then other skills can be developed while doing a course in jewellery designing.
Any ornament is first well-thought and then designed. The design concepts are rendered followed by detailed technical drawings generated by a jewellery designer, a professional who is trained in the architectural and functional knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, composition, wearability and market trends.
