Deepika Padukone has bagged yet another period drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This time as Rani Padmavati. She is seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in this historical drama. The last time we saw Deepika in period drama was as Mastani. Though both the looks have regal touch to them, Padmavati character is more royal and flamboyant in look. In Padmavati First Look, we see Deepika Padukone as the Queen herself. She is seen wearing royal attire, periodical Sarees and lahengas and royal jewellery too. She is seen covered in heavy jewellery pieces from head to toe. The first look mesmerized the audience and made this movie the most highly anticipated movie of the year.
Deepika is seen as stately maharani and looks picture perfect in the stately attire and grace with which she carries the look. Looking royal is not only about look, it is also about the regal feeling, the poise and grace. Deepika does full justice to the character.
The sarees and the jewellery which she wears are grand and her tall stately figure, does full justice to it. She is seen wearing the traditional rajputani jewellery pieces like nose ring, maang tikas, elaborate neck pieces and haath phools, along with numerous bangles.
Parallels of the look can be drawn from Aishwarya’s look as Jodha in Jodha Akbar. Since both of them gave common Rajput roots, the dressing style and the jewellery pieces are much similar.
